摘要:Contribution aims to focus on differences in agricultural development of various mountain regions in Slovakia through the changes in landscape, land use and the driving forces behind them. Agricultural land came through radical transformation after the Second World War in Slovakia, being influenced mainly by collectivisation in 1950s and 1960s, transformational period and agricultural decline after 1989 and improvement of agricultural management after accession of Slovakia to EU. Land abandonment is a crucial pressure on agricultural landscape that occurred in mountain regions after those changes. Following changes in land use were substantial, but other specific attributes played significant role in the landscape development too. However there are some common socioeconomic factors of agricultural change (e. g. agricultural policy), their spatial impact is demonstrated differently in particular areas and ecosystems.
