摘要：Wetlands are among the most important but also the most vulnerable ecosystems on Earth. Degradation and reduction of wetlands is a direct result of significant changes in the hydrological regime of rivers and land use. These changes have also been reflected on the site of the Koš wetlands as due to discrepancy in the land use with a conflict of interests and different needs of the landscape. Sustainable use of wetlands can only be achieved by maintaining of their ecological character. In order to remedy such negative trend improvement of the wetland ecosystems status in the integrated river basin management is inevitable. The proposal of the integrated river basin management should include the ecosystem approach and implementation of legislative measures to protect water resources.
