摘要:The author considers application of the concept of landscape memory and various concepts of time to improving spiritual qualities of the landscape. The issue of time in landscape ecology is at the same time the problem of a human´s role and position in the landscape. Contemporary means of research and technology that enable humans to be the geological power, which is capable to change the face of the landscape in a short time, show the importance of cumulative function of the time. This by conserving time and spatial experience in the landscape arrangement gives the landscape the historicity and memory. Old civilizations controlled themselves by a local reflection. Present civilization does not have such feedback and therefore many modern places lack authenticity. Spiritual quality of the degraded landscape can be improved by inserting the timely pooled information on the system arrangement into a juvenile landscape. Such information can be obtained from a retrieved memory of vanished landscapes from environmentally interpreted historical sources.
