摘要：The topic of sustainable spatial development is complex and interdisciplinary. Space is a research object of several scientific disciplines – social, natural sciences, economics, and technology. The framework for spatial development of our society is given by the history and current quality of the landscape, in which the interactions between socio-economic, socio-ecologic and socio-cultural dimensions exist. Access to and intelligent use of landscape potentials, based on landscape ecology knowledge, are crucial for spatial development sustainability and for achieving and preservation of such spatial qualities as territorial cohesion, competitiveness, safety, habitability and others in all hierarchical levels – local, regional, national and European.
