摘要：The paper reviews the change in paradigms of integrated water basin management and associated problems of climate change. Turning points in the international development are analyzed with special emphasis on the 15th anniversary of the commitments and recommendations from the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC) and Agenda 21. Main results of the monitoring of climate change and climate change impact assessment in Slovakia are reviewed. The corresponding measures are briefly discussed with respect to the future of recent approaches to the monitoring of climate change to integrated water basin management in the framework of the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive.
