摘要：At present the preferred way of waste treatment are the recycling, separation and use of organic components and land filling. Land filling is the last choice for waste management in case that it cannot be reused in other manner. Landfill gas as a by-product of the waste deposition must be taken away and eliminated due to its negative effects on the environment. Small volumes are simply aired away by air shafts, big volumes are suggested for energy use, most frequently in cogeneration plants. We present a procedure of landfill gas collection and analyzing on the municipal landfill in Spišská Nová Ves.
