摘要:The conclusions of the 4th national conference on environmental education in schools in the Slovak Republic (15-17 December 2004), in the part about the improvement of environmental education are that the third millennium enters the educational process with a new information strategy and reality. It provides an easier approach to the relatively wide ranging source of information and knowledge. Concentration on the active approach to obtain knowledge promotes the development of critical and synthesizing choice of knowledge. Information technologies form the conditions of discharge of the memory component of thinking and form the space for its creative sphere. It enables an easier approach to the relatively wide-ranging source of information and knowledge. It enables to reduce the volume of teaching of factographic data and at the same time, it provides space in the syllabus for new areas of knowledge as ecology and environmental science. The overburden of students by many lessons within the frame of the present syllabus is one of the most serious arguments why many pedagogues take the stance against the introduction of ecological basis of the environment to the process of teaching in all stages of schools.
