摘要：This contribution deals with the description of the present state of gardens and parks which are or. which were around domiciles of the gentry in the area of the Turiec valley. The description is based on the field investigation. Almost fourty of these domiciles occur in this area. In the past the park or the ornamental garden was founded around these subjects. The best-preserved natural-landscape parks are next to manors in Mošovce and Turčianska Štiavnička once owned by the Revay family. The park in the village Záturčie is partially preserved. Other parks and gardens were destroyed and some sporadically surviving trees testify to their existence in the past. Some possibilities of renovation or reconstructions of these parks are described in this work.
