摘要：The environment belongs to the key aspects of quality of life and influences a new emerging social phenomenon – amenity migration. Particular Czech socio-political, economic and cultural changes created its specific forms. The paper reports on the leisure motivation from proto to contemporary amenity migration, and in particular delves into its historical roots in some areas of the present Czech Republic. Also of primary concern here is the place-specific character of this amenity migration, global influences, and the role amenity migration may play in the future of this special place. The roots of amenity migration will be analyzed and compared with presentday motivators and facilitators of this phenomenon.
