摘要:The paper summarizes the results of several climate change impact studies. Several basins, representing various types of runoff regime and water use in different regions of Slovakia, were selected as representative areas. Different hydrological models were calibrated using data from three baseline periods, which were considered representative as regards the runoff distribution for stationary climate. Three types of climate change scenarios were used to simulate possible future climate conditions. Incremental scenarios were used to test the sensitivity of the basins to climate change. Additionally GCM scenarios and scenarios, that were analogous with the behavior of hydrometeorological processes during relatively warm periods in the past, were used to simulate probable future runoff conditions. Possible changes in the mean annual runoff and mean monthly flows for the time horizons 2010, 2030 and 2075 were evaluated and discussed. An assessment of possible adaptation strategies for water management in Slovakia was attempted and adaptation measures formulated.
