摘要：It is more than likely that Toledo is the European city, with the possible exception of Rome, which offers the most complete scenery to extract history and literature from books. That history can be found in its streets, town squares, and monuments. This is so because Toledo belongs as much to the past as it does to the present; therefore, we will take a stroll, more brief than long but without a hurry, with the idea of focusing on this essence, imagining that and greeting as many historical figures and authors as we can meet along the path. And I repeat that the stroll need not be long; it will be heterogeneous in substance, like civilizations, stories, legends, and historical figures and authors which we will find in our stroll through the streets of this city.
