摘要：El chile jalapeño es una variedad hortícola cultivada en extenso por su apariencia y popularidad dentro de la gastronomía mexicana y como producto en conserva en el mercado internacional. Por tal motivo, se realizó un análisis del comportamiento de la producción de chile jalapeño, durante el período de 1999 a 2018, con información estadística sobre volumen (t), precios ($/kg), superficie cosechada (ha), rendimiento (t/ha) a nivel nacional y para el estado de Quintana Roo. Con esta información se calcularon índices básicos encontrando que, a partir del 2014, el valor de la producción se incrementó considerablemente a $ 3, 863,762.6 (valor constante) siguiendo la misma tendencia hasta el final del período, ocasionado, principalmente por el crecimiento del 73.0% del precio. Para el estado de Quintana Roo, hubo más variabilidad y no se pudo identificar un período de crecimiento de la producción sino picos en tres años diferentes (1999, 2006 y 2011) debido a los incrementos en el volumen de la producción derivado de los rendimientos de 12.0 t/ha, más que por los precios del mercado. Así mismo, se encontró que debido a que la mayor parte de la superficie sembrada en el estado es de temporal, es más susceptible a lluvias extremas e inundaciones que afectan la producción local.
其他摘要：Jalapeño pepper is a horticultural variety widely cultivated for its appearance and popularity within Mexican gastronomy and as a canned product in the international market. For this reason, an analysis of the behavior of jalapeño pepper production was carried out during the period from 1999 to 2018, with statistical information on volume (t), prices ($/kg), area harvested (ha), Yield (t/ha) at the national level and for the state of Quintana Roo. With this information, basic indices calculated, finding that as of 2014, the value of production increased considerably to $ 3,863,762.6 (constant value) following the same trend until the end of the period, caused mainly by the growth of 73.0% of the price. For the state of Quintana Roo, there was more variability and it was not possible to identify a period of production growth but peaks in three different years (1999, 2006 and 2011) due to increases in the volume of production derived from the yields of 12.0 t/ha, more than due to market prices. Likewise, it found that because most of the surface planted in the state is seasonal, it is more susceptible to extreme rains and floods that affect local production.
