摘要：This article discusses the theme of university system evaluation, adopting a comparative approach. The Italian and the Finnish systems are analyzed, starting from the data collected through documentary analyses, field visits and interviews with stakeholders. After outlining the main characteristics of the institutions responsible in the two countries for the evaluation of universities and research (ANVUR and FINEEC), the main critical issues and choices are highlighted and compared.
