摘要:Street sexual harassment is a form of interaction that occurs in public places and includes exhibitionism, persecution, expressive, physical and verbal harassment of sexual and unrequited content. This study looks at the theoretical and social approaches to street sexual harassment as a type of gender-based violence in Latin America. To this end, a search was developed on sources of information using criteria such as public space, sexual citizenship, violence and safe cities. From the texts found is a conceptualization of harassment as a term and as a type of violence; it is also classified according to its modalities and its difference with other types of harassment in the interest of power relations, anonymity, public context, consent and sexual connotation. Harassment is concluded to be a type of sexual violence that affects the use of public space on an equal footing.
