摘要:The aim of this study was to investigate the role of self-efficacy as a mediator between perceived environment and social support with physical activity among students. The research method is analytical – descriptive and the type of the survey was based on the structural equation modeling. The population of the study was students of Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch of Tehran. Sample size was determined based on Morgan table (n=283) and students were selected by classified random method. Collection data conducted through personal information, physical activity participation, perceived environment, social support and self-efficacy questionnaires with Cronbach's alpha coefficient 0.83, 0.83, 0.80 and 0.86 respectively. For data analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling were used. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and PLS software. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between perceived environment, social support and self-efficiency with physical activity participation. Research model was fit. Self-efficacy was moderated the relation between perceived environment and social support with physical activity participation. These variables were factors that have the potential to positively increase the participation physical activity behavior of students. Therefore, based on the findings of the research, it is suggested to provide an appropriate context qualitatively and quantitatively, emotional, instrumental, informational and evaluative support so that the students' participation in physical activity would be increased.
