摘要：A proposta dos livros é transformar sistemas de gestão e gerenciamento de resíduos, provedores de serviços de coleta, tratamento e destinação do lixo produzido por cidadãos e organizações públicas e privadas. No Brasil e no mundo, a estrutura e a efetividade desses sistemas vêm sendo discutidas em campos como políticas públicas, saneamento, planejamento urbano, engenharia de materiais, planejamento energético, entre outros. Os livros focam propostas de transformação desses sistemas fortalecendo a categoria profissional de catadoras e catadores de recicláveis, historicamente responsáveis pela reciclagem de diversos materiais. Também é histórica a precarização e estigmatização do trabalho desses agentes ambientais. Os livros discutem essa situação e indicam formas de superá-la utilizando tecnologias sociais, cumprindo as determinações da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos (Lei n. 12.305/2010), e gerando ganhos ambientais, econômicos, políticos e sociais.
其他摘要：These books aim to transform waste management and management systems, providers of collection, treatment, and disposal services for waste produced by citizens and public and private organizations. In Brazil, as in the rest of the world, fields such as public policy, sanitation, urban planning, material engineering, and energy planning, among others, have discussed the structure and effectiveness of these systems. These books focus on proposals for transforming these systems by strengthening the professional category of waste pickers historically responsible for the recycling of various materials. The books also provide a history of the precarization and stigmatization of the work of these environmental agents, discuss this situation, and indicate ways to overcome it using social technologies, complying with the determinations of the National Policy for Solid Waste (Law no. 12,305/2010), and generating environmental, economic, political, and social gains.
