摘要：O presente artigo é resultado dos nossos estudos, reflexões e inquietações, iniciados na graduação em Serviço Social da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB) e aprofundados no mestrado na área. Refere-se, portanto, ao debate existente acerca da categoria cultura. Nesse sentido, buscamos realizar uma reflexão teórica, reconstruindo a categoria cultura sob as bases da tradição marxista. Assim sendo, a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica de autores clássicos e contemporâneos que fazem parte desta tradição de pensamento, conseguimos apreender a categoria cultura, desvendando, dessa forma, os vínculos entre esta categoria e a materialidade da vida social, especificamente, na sociabilidade regida pela lógica do capital.
其他摘要：This paper is a result of our studies, reflections and concerns, started in the Social Service undergraduation of Universidade Estadual da Paraíba (UEPB) and deepened in master’s degree. It refers, therefore, to the existing debate about the culture category. In this sense, we aimed to carry out a theorethical reflection, rebuilding the culture category under the basis of the marxist tradition. Therefore, based on a bibliographical revision of classic and contemporary authors who are part of this tradition of thought, we could aprehend the culture category, uncovering this way the links between this and the materiality of social life, specifically in the sociability ruled by the capital logic .
