摘要：Thisarticle deals withwinter outdoor recreation and the use ofmountainwildernessareas in the Hautes-Bauges massif. Thestudy aims to define outdoor recreation profiles of users oftheareasaccording to socio-demographic data, recreational practices,and perceptions ofthe wilderness environment. Theresults showfour (4) different recreation profiles. Forall ofthembondingwith the naturalenvironment is really important. Most users want to conserveand protect the wildernessareas. Nevertheless, this majority also claims theright to haveaccess to this naturalenvironment preferring aboveallthat it remainsa placefor recreation. Thus,even ifthe naturalsetting ofthe mountains is the main component oftheir outdoor activities, theseelementsare mainly apprehended to the prismoftheir bodily experience.
