摘要：La presente investigación busca analizar la influencia de la actividad minera e impacto económico por el cierre de las minas en el cantón Zaruma, provincia de El Oro, en el periodo 2008 - 2018, en el año 2012 el cantón Zaruma sufrió el cierre de las minas ilegales, debido a que las actividades mineras ilegales ocasionaron el incremento de metales pesados, acidez y alteración a la calidad del agua, una disminución de la disponibilidad del recurso hídrico, se incrementó el ruido y vibraciones, alteración a la calidad del suelo, pérdida de especies animales, y fragmentación de hábitats, por estos problemas, se dio el cierre de estas minas. Esta investigación es de tipo descriptiva con enfoque cuantitativo, el modelo econométrico que se aplica en este estudio es de relación lineal. Se realizó una correlación de variables para medir la correlacionaldad de las mismas. Los resultados de este estudio indican que el cierre de la industria minera ha afectado la economía de Zaruma, debido a que esta actividad es uno de los principales ingresos del estado, pero cabe mencionar que la variable TRPINFTLC también afecta el PIB de Zaruma. Porque se ha verificado que las variables EXPMINCANT y TRPINFTLC son importantes para el modelo a la hora de realizar regresiones.
其他摘要：This research seeks to analyze the influence of mining activity and economic impact due to the closure of the mines in the Zaruma canton, El Oro province, in the period 2008 – 2018. In 2012 the Zaruma canton suffered the closure of the illegal mines, due to the fact that illegal mining activities had caused an increase in heavy metals and acidity that led to alterations of water quality, a decrease in the availability of water resources, increased noise and vibrations, alteration of soil quality, loss of animal species, and fragmentation of habitats. This is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach that applies the econometric linear relationship model to this study. A correlation of variables technique was carried out in order to determine the correlation coefficient. The results of this study are indicative of the negative impact suffered by the economy of the Zaruma region due to the closing of the mining industry, being this activity the main source of income in the area. It is worth mentioning that the variable TRPINFTLC also affects the GDP of Zaruma. Because it has been verified that the variables EXPMINCANT and TRPINFTLC are important for the model when performing regressions.
