摘要:Understanding how the Juvenile Criminal Justice system responds to gender issues is key to feminist theory, that is why this study is dedicated to understanding the perceptions, attitudes and expectations of the professionals who intervene with young offenders. Since we know that precisely the social perceptions and deep-rooted beliefs directly or indirectly influence the life or life trajectory of these young women and girls. The empirical work is eminently qualitative based on discussion groups and indepth interviews with direct intervention professionals (educators of youth reform and of Protection of minors, social workers, teachers, psychologist, among others) and indirect (prosecutor, police, lawyer, director, sociologist, among others). This study suggests that gender roles and stereotypes continue to operate in Juvenile Justice and at the different levels of intervention with girls and young offenders, mainly in the informal sphere.
