其他摘要：This paper analyzes onomastic data consisting of toponyms and anthroponyms that were drawn from a booklet recently discovered in the GNA. The document is written in (Castilian) Spanish with a number of particular features, and it is of relevance to us because it suggests that basque was still in use in the High Riberan locality at the time of writing. The document moreover allows us to identify some of the characteristics of the extinct local variety, in addition to being helpful in explaining the etymology of some toponyms and establishing a more adequate normativization of these. Some spellings, coupled with the transparency of the place and person names found in the booklet, clearly indicate that basque was in use in Murillo at the time of writing. We have made an attempt to set the onomastic data found in the document in context, namely by relating them to names from the nearby area that were previously known to us.
