摘要:This article analyzes the relationship between the novel Los años con Laura Díaz (1999) by Carlos Fuentes with the mural "El Arsenal" (1928) by Diego Rivera. All reflection allowed, crisscross two aesthetic codes to interweave: narration and pictorial image. The écfrasis is explained as the possibility of constructing a fictional story that is born from a mural painting, demonstrating how the narrative work dialogues with a visual aesthetic expression, where both are connected and give explanation to the same social, historical and artistic phenomenon that has as Mexico context, seen and told from a female intrahistory, submerged in an official story that takes place during almost the entire twentieth century.
