摘要：The behavior of every outstanding student consists of a path that forms a pattern of activity that varies according to the level of each need and various factors in the search for sources of information along with the development of civilization, so it is important to be investigated further with the aim to determine the shape of the pattern of elements and to find out the dominant element of information seeking behavior used by high achieving students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Sampling in this study were eighteen students of State University of Malang in 2019, who were taken through purposive sampling techniques by collecting interview data. Data were analyzed through data reduction, coding, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study stated that the pattern of information seeking behavior elements of each State University of Malang State University Student Achievement in 2019 was different. In conclusion, there are nine different patterns of information seeking behavior and eight dominant elements are used by Achievement Students of State University of Malang in 2019.
