摘要：This article aims to study housing problems in the Buenos Aires Metropolis and recent evolution thereof. The study estimates the housing deficit using the 2001 and 2010 censuses, characterizes the evolution of the population with housing needs based on their housing situation and analyzes the settlement patterns and territorial distribution of households with housing deficit in the metropolitan region. The article shows that the housing improvements that occurred during 2001-2010 did not materialize homogeneously across all households with housing deficit, and did not materialize in all areas of the metropolitan region. Although the overall picture suggests a slight improvement over the last decade, when the data are disaggregated territorially, worsening housing situations are observed in several territories and population bands.
