摘要：This article presents the results of a research on the continuing education of teachers working in Early Childhood Education in the context of movement experiences, carried out with active teachers from a Early Childhood School, located in the city of Arroio Grande - RS. The main objective of the study was to understand how early childhood teachers are trained in school in planning and developing experiences involving the body and movement. In addition to the work of constructing the research, the specific objectives are: to analyze and reflect on the continuing education of Early Childhood Education teachers offered in the context of the culture of movement; know how the participating teachers plan and establish the movement experiences. As instruments for data collection, the Municipal Education Plan of Arroio Grande (2015/2025) and the questionnaire were used. Content analysis was used to organize the information obtained. The theoretical framework is based on studies on childhood, physical education at school and continuing education of teachers. The results of the research revealed the offer of continuing teacher education based on a vertical format, with no discussion on the pedagogical actions related to the movement and body practices.
