标题：The Prediction of the Level of Self-Control among Male and Female High School Teenagers Based on the Level of Islamic Patience and Religious Orientation
摘要：Nowadays, it is believed that a virtue-oriented behavior and in general humans' happiness depend on their self-control. There is a relationship between self-control and psychological factors and constructs, including some religious constructs; thus, the present research aims to examine the relationship of the level of teenagers' self-control with religious orientation and patience based on Islamic teachings. Therefore, 362 students were selected among 4709 students who studied in the first and second high schools (ages 14-17 years) in the city of Mahalat by the cluster sampling as the sample. The questionnaire of religious orientation, the scale of teenagers' Islamic patience, and the scale of self-control based on Islamic sources were distributed among them to gather the primary data. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and regression coefficients with the help of SPSS software. The results demonstrated that the construct of patience has a relationship with self-control the the rate of 49 percent, and can highly predict the level of teenagers' self-control with 45 percent of confidence coefficient. Moreover, the level of religious orientation shares with teenagers' self-control at the rate of 18 percent and with that confidence coefficient. Totally, the education of Islamic patience and the aspects of religious orientation should be considered to increase the level of self-control.
