摘要：The quantitative research literature has found negative outcomes for the children of fathers diagnosed with mental distress. However, qualitative research exploring both the children and parents’ perspectives demonstrates mixed outcomes and more complex parent-child relationships. This article reviews the qualitative research literature, highlighting the expressed needs of family members. Recommendations for research and mental health policy are made with the aim of supporting positive relationships in families where a father suffers with mental distress.
