摘要：Cultural diversity is adopted as an understanding of the synergy including acceptance and representation of the presence from different cultures, the local communities, minorities, ethnic identities, religious or social commitment in the communities, the different age groups, the physical competences, gender, etc. in one large admission and it is represented as an understanding of rapid pace. No matter what type the museums are, museums of today have the same functions. Museums were known to play an important role in creation of identity, development of identity and social networking processes and they develop their own and unique policies in cultural diversity, multiculturalism, tolerance, intercultural dialogue and pleasant relations. Contemporary museums, as they are aware of the cultural diversity is the most significant source to construct the intercultural peace and to sustain and rediscover the common heritage with intellectual and scientific cooperation, endeavor to make the community participation possible in exhibitions and events for their own sustainability. In the UK, by force of contemporary museology, museums include the subject of cultural diversity and equality and they also use these concepts in their practice schemes, training programmes and other museum activities. The approaches, policies and practices of the museums in the United Kingdom in cultural diversity is examined with historical context. This research is designed as a qualitative research including historical research and document review about cultural diversity policies and contents. In the section of the research where the samples of practices are discussed, the document review process which was carried out at Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of London, British Museum and Tate Modern is analyzed.
