摘要:One of the main functions of educational institutions is to cultivate individuals of good character. However, this situation necessitates systematic and effective ethics education. In this regard, teachers, the implementers of educational programmes, play a critical role in conveying ethical values to their students. In addition to its success in international student assessment examinations, South Korea is a Far East country distinguished for its continuous focus on the ethical values of individuals and the training of high-quality teachers. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the influence of Confucianism on ethics education in South Korea. The implication of this study is that it contributes to the educational sciences literature on teacher training systems and ethics education in South Korea, a country of strong social structure in terms of the value given to education and commitment to Confucian teachings.
