摘要:The aim of this study is to determine prospective science teachers’ views related to sciencetechnology-society and self-efficacy levels of science and technology literacy. The model of the research is causal comparison model. The study is conducted at a university in İstanbul in spring semester of 2012-2013 academic year. The participants of the study are second grade prospective science teachers from 1st education (n=28) and 2nd education (n=28). The data of the study are gathered by “Self Efficacy Belief Scale on Scientific Literacy” (5-scale likert type), “science-technology-society questionnaire” (8 questions), interview questions (8 questions). The data of the study are analyzed by independent group t-test, descriptive and ideographic analysis. The findings of the study show that there is no significant difference in self-efficacy efficacys in terms of types of education. Self-efficacy efficacy levels of participants in daytime education are in medium level whereas the other group’s level is quite adequate. There is no significant difference between the views of sciencetechnology-society in terms of types of education and it is possible to evaluate them as non-traditional. The suggestions were made according to the results of the study.
