摘要:The aim of this research is to determine levels of composing shapes of the pre-service elementary mathematics teachers and investigate the relation between some variables and levels of composing shapes. For the purpose of the research survey method was used. The sample of this research consists of 290 pre-service elementary mathematics teachers who are at 1st-2nd-3rd and 4th grades. The data of the research consist of gender, stages of grades, and cumulative average scores variables, and also the data of “The Specification Test of Levels of Composing Shapes” are included. As well as frequency and percentage calculations, the analysis of variance and test statistics were used to analyze the data. It was observed that the students‘ levels of composing shapes are mostly collected in the first four levels. There is a significant difference between the level of composing shapes and students’ gender, their stages of grades and also their cumulative average scores.
