摘要:Time perception encompasses differentsubjectivetimeexperiences, like:(1) intervallength (duration)estimation, and (2) subjective passage of timejudgments, defined as the perceived speed oftime passage. This study aims to investigateand clarify theimpact oftask difficulty, temporalrelevanceand hedonicinterest on both intervallength judgmentsand subjective passage oftimejudgments. Anotheraimofthestudy is to investigate whether intervallength judgmentsand subjective passage oftime judgmentsarerelated. Theresults ofthe presentstudy indicatethat task difficulty and temporalrelevance haveasignificant impact on intervallength judgments. In terms oftheir interaction, theresults showthat when thetask is simple,a high temporalrelevanceleads to intervallength overestimates. Another major finding ofthis studywas thatsubjectivetime passagejudgments seemto beaffected by thesamefactorsas intervallength estimation. In other words, results indicatethat both temporalrelevanceand level oftask difficulty haveasignificant impact on subjectivetime passagejudgments. Also, wefound asignificantcorrelation between intervallength judgmentsand subjective passage oftimejudgments, indicating thatalonger interval estimateisassociated with aslower perceived time passage. Theresults ofthe presentstudy are discussed in terms oftheattentionalmodels oftime perception.
