  • 摘要:The aim of this study is to compare the attention levels according to gender, sporting status and age category in 10-15 year old students. A total of 216 students (100 girls and 116 boys) aged between 10-15 years were included in the study. Student's t-test was used for paired categorical comparisons between groups, and one-way ANOVA and LSD tests were performed for age category. In comparison of D2 attention test scores according to gender, there was a statistically significant difference between psychomotor speed, selective attention level, concentration performance and total test performance scores (p 0.05). In comparison of D2 Attention test scores according to age variable, there was a statistically significant difference between psychomotor speed, selective attention level, concentration performance, special learning incompetence and total Test Performance scores (p <0.05 and p <0.001). In comparison of the D2 Attention test scores between the sports and non-sports, a statistically significant difference was found between psychomotor speed, selective attention level, concentration performance, specific learning disability and total Test Performance scores (p <0.05 and p <0.001). Conclusion: Psychomotor speed scores, concentration performance and total test performance of female students were found higher than male students and selective attention level was found lower. Attention test scores of the 14-15 age group were found to be better than the first group (10-11 years) and the second group (12-13 years). Attention test scores of the older ones are expected to be found better. The total number of marked figures processed in girls is higher than boys. In other words, psychomotor speed is better in boys than in boys. On the other hand, the number of figures skipped figured is lower in girls than in boys. Selective attention level is lower in boys than in girls. D2 attention test scores of students doing sports are higher than those who do not actively exercise. It is thought that it may increase the attention levels of students who do not actively do sports by directing them to sports activities. It is recommended that children are physically encouraged to be more active.
