摘要：Today, the Internet is a tool that facilitates the development of academic, social, business and entertainment life. However, there may be consequences such as an individual's excessive and problematic use of the Internet. This research was completed by obtaining the approval letter of the Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Board in the field of Social and Human Sciences of Çukurova University dated 20.05.2020 and numbered 74009925-903.08.02/. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship internet usage and problematic usage of university students. The sample consists of 603 university students who continue their education at Çukurova University. The data were collected using the personal information form and Internet Addiction Scale prepared by the researcher in order to determine demographic information and the way of internet use. According to the results obtained, the students were divided into two groups as controlled users (87%) and problem users (13%). Only 1 student was found to be addicted to the Internet. In addition, problematic Internet usage has been found to be related to the time allocated to social networks, chat (adult), adult content pages and movies / series. It has been observed that the use of these applications causes disruptions in daily activities.
