摘要:In this study, the distance education experiences of elementary school students with reading difficulties in Covid-19 process were examined and it was aimed to develop solutions in line with the opinions of students and their parents. In the study, the ethics committee permission of Hacettepe University dated 11.02.2020 and numbered 35853172-300 was obtained, and the opinions of students and their parents who had reading difficulties regarding the distance education process were obtained. In the research, case study pattern, one of the qualitative research patterns, was used. In this study, it was tried to describe the situations related to distance education process of elementary school students having reading difficulties in Covid-19 process. Opinions of students and parents were obtained through interview questions developed by the researchers. Six primary school students and their parents participated in the study with reading difficulties through criterion sampling. The data of the research were analyzed by content analysis method. According to the opinions of students and their parents, it was found that distance learning process is beneficial, contributes to their reading, during Covid-19, more time should be devoted to reading and psychological problems of students should be eliminated. In addition, it was found that providing students to meet with their friends and teachers during the Covid-19 process is important for students' motivation. In the research, it was also stated that families should be included in the process of developing students' reading skills, students should study or read the book. In today's world, where reading and reading comprehension skills gained importance, it has been frequently mentioned in the interviews with students and parents that reading should be valued and embraced in any environment. As a result, students and parents stated that reaiding has an important place in our lives and that we should constantly improve it.
