摘要：The whole world is having a hard time due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Many of us have faced such a big outbreak for the first time. Human history is full of outbreaks. Mankind repeatedly fought an enemy that he could not see, lost millions, but was able to defeat the enemy every time. One of the most well known and most destructive epidemics is the plague called “black trouble” or “black death”. This plague has affected The Ottoman Empire, especially Istanbul, and caused the death of many people. Poets who cannot be insensitive to social issues have also committed this scourge in their works. The poets who wrote poems about plague, themselves or their relatives were affected by this disease and even lost their lives. The poet tezkire writers were witnessing the history by writing about the poets or the relatives who died from the plague. They also talked about the physical, social and psychological negative effects of the plague, the drugs or practices that could cure the plague, and that the dead person was considered a martyr.
