摘要:In this study, Ali Şir Nevayi's work named Muhakemetu'l-Lugateyn (ML) has been examined in terms of the presence of propaganda techniques. Ali Şir Nevayi was born on February 9, 1441 in Herat and passed away on January 3, 1501. Ali Şir Nevayi is one of the leading names in Turkish literature. He was the first poet of Turkish literature who carried the biography tradition to Turkish literature. Ali Şir Nevayi was a intelligent statesman as well as a talented poet. Having produced works in Persian and Turkish, Nevayi utilized this experience to develop the use of Turkish. He compares Turkish and Persian in his work named Muhakemetu'l-Lugateyn. He argued that Turkish is a superior literary language than Persian. He tried to prevent Turkish from disappearing in a bilingual society, and tried to persuade Turks to produce Turkish works. In this study, it is investigated whether Ali Şir Nevayi uses propaganda techniques, which is a oneway communication method for persuasion purposes. The aim is to contribute to reveal the communication methods used in the basic works of Turkish culture. For this purpose, propaganda and propaganda techniques has been examined by rewiewing the literature. In order to reveal the existence of propaganda techniques in ML, content analysis method. This method requires a review according to the background information in the literature. As the result of the study, the propaganda techniques which are specific instance, simplification, pinpointing the enemy, virtue words, plain folk or common man, implication, presenting the other side, fear, least of evils, name calling, appeal to authority, repetition, transfer and compare and contrast techniques have been revealed in ML. The communication methods that have been used successfully in the past should be taught in today's Turkish education.
