摘要:Analyzing the effects of COVID-19 Pandemic on the psychology of healthcare professionals, who have played the most challenging and important role in this process, is very valuable for the effective management of the pandemic. Discovering how the unique characteristics of the current situation shape the concepts and the relationships among them will also contribute significantly to literature. Due to the stressors brought by the pandemic, negative emotions are expected to be experienced frequently and at high levels. Communication, human contact and interaction are frequent and crucial in healthcare profession due to the nature of the job, thus, the emotional labor experienced by employees while reflecting their feelings on patients and colleagues is of great importance. The passion for work and the work family enrichment stand out as the most important resources that employees can utilize to cope with the negative psychological effects of the pandemic. This research aims to investigate the direct and indirect (through work family enrichment) effects of work passion on the levels of emotional labor of healthcare professionals. The research tools are approved by İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Ethics Committee. Within the scope of the research, 138 healthcare professionals were reached and the data collected was analyzed using SPSS and AMOS programs. The results of the study showed that harmonious passion affects both dimensions of work family enrichment positively and significantly, has direct and negative effect on surface acting and positive effect on expression of naturally felt emotions. Family to work enrichment increases deep acting significantly. Harmonious passion has a significant indirect effect on deep acting and surface acting through work family enrichment. Policies, effective leadership and human resources practices that will increase the passion of workforce can have a direct impact on the emotional labor levels of employees. In addition, it is of great importance to consider employees with their families, which is an important component of the employees' lives, and to benefit from the positive effects of work family enrichment through practices that will support the work-family balance.
