摘要:The main aim of this research is to investigate violin student’s opinions on distance learning due to Covid-19 epidemic which affects the whole world. We believe that the research is important since its potential to reveal and understand the strong and weak aspects of distant learning. In the study, we used a case study method which belongs to qualitative research approaches. This study was prepared by obtaining the approval letter no 06/05 received at the meeting of Trakya University Social and Human Sciences Research Ethics Committee on 09.09.2020. The research group consisted of 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th-year violin students who were studying at Trakya University Fine Arts Education Faculty, Music education department (n=19). The study was used semi-structured interview questions which aimed to collect violin students’ opinions on the synchronous and asynchronous distant violin courses, general views in process and to reveal their motivational circumstances while in an epidemic situation. Collected data was interpreted via theme, sub-theme and codes- concepts which have been produced by content analysis and descriptive analysis method under the tables. As a result of there search, it was revealed that almost all of the students remarked the view that violin education should be carried out face to face fashion. Also, opinions about the use of the blended learning model in music education are among the results of the research.
