摘要:In today's art, which is determined by the structure and cultural policy of the historical period in which they take place, the artists present new values that support new searches, interpretations and production methods. Within this context, practices that led to the use of writing as an artistic expression language were discussed. With the diversity of the position of the writing in contemporary art, the works in which the writing meets the audience, aesthetic and conceptuality turn into a discourse that needs to be analyzed. Since the polyphonic/multilayered structuring of today's art often makes perception difficult, the works become open to interpretation by undergoing semantic transformations. However, the relationship between the work and the audience does not occur unless perceived. In such an analysis model that requires the perception of the viewer, in the process of creating meaning from the text, it was used for the reception of the work by different subjects The purpose of this study is to make a series of determinations regarding their functioning and components in this phenomenon by considering the process of quotation, transfer, interaction, etc. based on the interpretation process of the article. Within this framwork, using the clue about the idea to be given in the work of art, the works of James Webb, Sean Landers, Fiona Banner, Joseph Kosuth, On Kawara and Erdem Taşdelen one work for each were analyzed. Within the scope of the article, the data were collected through visual analysis, readings and literature reviews, and the use of the text in the interpretation process was examined in the light of the collected data, and it was tried to reveal the aforementioned works and its position in contemporary art practices. This work is considered a new proposal instead of reading and expressing the use of writing in contemporary art with certain dynamics.
