摘要:The region of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is dynamic; it has been growing and changing since the transition from planned to market economies started 30 years ago. The revolution of Solidarity in Poland and the fall of the Berlin Wall ushered dramatic effects that reverberate to this day, yet the CEE region remains relatively underserved in international business research. We devote this “Management Issues” to the study of international business in the context of the CEE region to remedy this relative lack of coverage in the academic literature. In this region internationalization is an inherent phenomenon, however de-internationalization and even reinternationalization have become increasingly visible, which we could also capture in this issue. This issue features four papers treating various aspects of international business: competitiveness, re-internationalization, strategic change, and consumer behavior. The eight authors hail from four separate countries, which are the settings for their work.
