摘要：The article examines the barriers that refugees face in their search for a better life in Europe, caused by social distances and rejection by the local communities. The analysis is based on empirical data from three nationally representative sociological surveys, conducted in 2018 and 2019 by the UNHCR Representative in Bulgaria and in 2020 by the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
