摘要：Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menerapkan konseling rational emotive behavior therapy untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran matematika. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pretest posttest desain dengan tahapan meliputi;1) studi pendahuluan,2) penyusunan instrument,3) pengumpulan data awal (pretest),4) penerapan teknik rasional emotif behavior theraphy 5) pengumpulan data akhir (posstest),6) analisis data dan diskusi,7) kesimpulan dan pelaporan. Popoluasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa STKIP Andi matappa sebanyak 811 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 10 mahasiswa Prodi PGSD dengan Teknik penarikan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian melalui uji analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diberikan perlakuan berupa konseling rasional emotive behavior therapy terhadap mahasiswa PGSD,motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran matematika berada kategori rendah. Sedangkan setelah diberikan perlakuan berupa konseling rasional emotive behavior therapy,motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran matematika mengalami perubahan yaitu berada pada kategori tinggi. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji Z menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang nyata atau positif yaitu penerapan konseling rational emotif behavior therapy dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pelajaran matematika di prodi PGSD STKIP Andi Matappa.
其他摘要：The purpose of this study was to apply rational emotive behavior therapy counseling to increase student motivation to take mathematics lessons in the PGSD Study Program of STKIP Andi Matappa. The research design used was one group pretest posttest design with stages including;1) preliminary studies,2) preparation of instruments,3) preliminary data collection (pretest),4) application of rational emotive behavior therapy techniques 5) final data collection (posstest),6) data analysis and discussion,7) conclusions and reporting. The population in this study were all students of STKIP Andi Matappa as many as 811 with a total sample of 10 students of PGSD Study Program with the sampling technique of purposive sampling. The results of the research through the descriptive analysis test showed that before being given treatment in the form of rational emotional behavior therapy counseling for PGSD students,the student's learning motivation in participating in mathematics was in the low category. Meanwhile, after being given treatment in the form of rational emotive behavior therapy counseling,students' learning motivation in taking mathematics lessons experienced changes,namely being in the high category. Hypothesis testing using the Z test shows that there is a real or positive effect,namely the application of rational emotive behavior therapy counseling can increase student learning motivation in taking mathematics lessons at the PGSD STKIP Andi Matappa study program.
