Rochester law firm of Harter, Secrest & Emery contributes to
Daily Record StaffThe partners and employees of Harter, Secrest & Emery LLP conducted an internal fund drive to benefit the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. The result, a check totaling almost $18,000, was recently delivered to John Buttrill, CEO of the Rochester Chapter of the American Red Cross.
The partners and employees of the law firm contributed an additional $13,000 to an employee relief fund for one of its clients with offices in the Gulf Coast and an individual family whose home was destroyed by the hurricane.
The generosity of Harter Secrest's partners and staff is overwhelming; though not a surprise, said the firm's managing partner, Maureen Alston. These are people who exemplify what Rochester is well known for - rising to the occasion and exceeding whatever goal is set.
In the case of Hurricane Katrina; it is our clients, extended families and friends who are personally impacted by the devastation in the Gulf coast areas, Alston continued. Our hearts and hope go out to those directly affected by this terrible disaster.
