AT long last, common sense has prevailed and the Lockerbie mass murderer Al Megrahi will be transferred to a tough jail that is more befitting the crime he committed in killing 270 people.

The only reason the civilised world wants this man to live is so he can suffer for it. Any- thing less is a mockery to the victims' families and all who care about justice.
