THE STORY: Set in a "fairytale" town in south-east Turkey in 1980 where a government official has been banished with his family. His arrival helps sort out the absurdities of the community, while his daughter adds a dose of beauty and innocence.

WHAT'S GOOD? An engaging and sometimes delightful Turkish comedy.

WHAT'S BAD? The magical feel may not be to all tastes, but a nice contrast to usual Turkish drama.

HOW LONG IS IT? A relaxed 111 mins.

FINAL VERDICT? Of interest mainly to art-house movie fans.
