Raunchy Pink creates a stink
JAMES BUCKLEYPOP BAD girl Pink last night shocked Belfast parents with a raunchy concert which included topless dancers and simulated lesbian sex.
Many parents walked out of the Odyssey Arena as the show grew more and more steamy, taking their young sons and daughters with them.
Pink's music appeals to a wide range of fans, with six and seven- year-olds among the audience.
Angry parents hit out at the performance, which they rated as too blue for such a young crowd.
The concert included an outrageous lap dance show.
Pink had already caused outrage in Dublin earlier in the week, when dozens of parents stormed out of The Point concert hall.
Susan Murphy, from Belfast, left last night's show early with her eight-year-old son, John, and his cousin, Emma.
She said she was "absolutely disgusted" by what had went on.
Not only had the children been exposed to it, but she had to then explain to her sister what had went on in front of her daughter, she said.
Ms Murphy said those behind the show should have warned people beforehand, either by marking "explicit" on the tickets or by putting an age restriction on the audience.
Another parent said: "I'm really shocked, after the reaction in Dublin, that she did the same thing in Belfast.
"The adults in the audience were OK with it, I'm sure, but she has a lot of younger fans and she has to think about them.
"I saw some young fans in there and they looked bemused by what was happening.
"I can certainly understand why so many parents walked out with their children."
Pink had shocked the crowd by stripping two of her dancers down to their thongs and simulated lesbian sex.
Throughout the show, 24-year-old Pink grabbed her crotch and made obscene gestures at the crowd.
