Daniel Baird attains Eagle rank

Daniel Baird has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Baird, who completed a 22-hour service project to achieve the distinction, attends Mead High School.

The following Scouts have also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. They are listed with their Eagle project, year in school and parents:

Peter Lampert's project was a renovation of the prayer chapel at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center. He is the son of Debbie and David Lampert.

Mark Dailey built a brick barbecue for the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He is a graduate of Central Valley High School.

Bryce Larson, a freshman at Central Valley, installed an outdoor basketball court at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Central Valley junior Bryan Braun gathered over 2,000 pounds of lost and found items from school in the Central Valley School District and donated them to the Spokane Valley Center. He is the son of Barry and Brenda Braun.

Deric Molner, a Central Valley junior, made 96 wooden cars and donated them to the Children's Home Society. Molner is the son of Paul and Kerry Finn.

Matthew Reese, a sophomore at Central Valley, installed four benches for the Veterans' Memorial Flag site at Farragut State Park. He is the son of Scott and Joy Reese.

Lile Squires, a Central Valley junior, built and installed six benches for the Frisbee gold game at Farragut State Park. He is the son of Glen and Charlotte Squires.

Mead High School student Alex Hutchison cleared a picnic area, and built two benches and a sign for Camp Dart-Lo. He is the son of Ken and Valerie Hutchison of Colbert.

Ben Indahl Indahl built wooden benches at the Lewis and Clark High School Ecology Garden.

Greg Arte, a 2003 graduate of Gonzaga Preparatory School, designed and built a retaining wall at St. Thomas More Parish. He is the son of Mike and Mary Arte of Mead.

Robert Parry, a junior at Lewis and Clark High School, constructed physical therapy equipment for the Spokane Veterans' home. Parry is the son of Ed and Julie Parry.

Dustin Brittain, the son of Rich and Debbie Brittain, is a member of Troop 19, Thunderbird District.
