I THINK the question has to be asked: How do British police have enough resources to keep tabs on all the Irish people living in Humberside, but not enough to note that one man, Ian Huntley, has been often accused of rape and reported to have an unhealthy interest in under-age girls?

I hope whoever took the decision to expunge Huntley's record feels some guilt over the deaths of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.

Had his past form been noticed he may never have been employed near children.

And as for snooping on the Irish - that's just plain racist.
