Court TV

Henry Schleiff has been promoted to chairman/CEO. He had been president/CEO since October 1998. Prior to that, he was EVP for Studios USA and had also been in executive production positions with Universal Television Group, Viacom International and HBO. Schleiff had also been a corporate associate with the Wall Street law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell. Dick Beahrs, the network's COO since 1992, will assume the title of president. He had also been in executive positions with Comedy Central, HBO and Cinemax. Beahrs worked with Life and Sports Illustrated as well.

GlobeCast America

Robert Behar, president/CEO, has been selected as recipient of World Teleport Assn.'s 5th annual executive of the year award. Behar was recognized for his initiatives and success in making GlobeCast America a significant provider of services to the broadcasting industry. The company offers domestic and global transmission services and maintains a network of domestic and international satellites. He received his award at the Satellite 2000 conference in Washington, D.C., Feb. 3

In Demand

Daniel York has been named SVP-programming, development and event acquisition. He had been VP/GM at HBO's Time Warner Sports/TVKO Pay-Per-View.

Media Metrix

Lindsey Draves has been appointed VP-client information services. She has more than 20 years of media research experience including 16 years with Conde Naste where she was research director. Most recently, Draves was VP-operations for M2, Magazine Metrics and was also VP-syndicated studies for Simmons Market Research Bureau.

Peach Networks

Nittai Hofshi has been named programming and content manager. He was most recently executive consultant on an Intranet-based training program for the Israeli police. He was also VP-development for Tyrex. He has also worked for several eductional software developers and was a lecturer at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Philips

Joseph Nucara has been appointed VP-marketing for the broadband networks division. He had been VP-marketing with Thomas & Betts, cable communications division. He is a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.

Playboy

Loly Hlade has been named VP-senior division, marketing. She joins the network from Universal television/ Studios USA where she had been VP-business development and strategy. Prior to that, she had been director-business development and operations for MTV Networks.

Romance Classics

Valerie Green has been promoted from director to VP-marketing. Prior to joining the network three years ago, she was president of her own media consultancy, Green Ink. Before that, she had been GM/VP-sales for Spin magazine. Green had also been marketing and publicity director for Premiere and Rolling Stone magazines. Jennifer Geisser has been promoted from director-PR for American Movie Classics and Romance Classics to VP-PR for Romance Classics. She joined the network in 1996 from CBS Networks where she was in media relations. Prior to that, she was senior account executive at Dan Klores Associates Inc.

SCTE

Lilabet Coe has been named manager-chapter and industry relations. She had been executive director of Youth and Family Services of the Upper Perkiomen Valley (Pa.) and prior to that, was an administrator and meeting planner for the Triological Society, an international medical specialty organization.
